Sandton Gate

Sandton Gate, its Sandton but Smarter.
At last you can work, live and play in Sandton. Sandton Gate is destined to be a world-class, mixed-use precinct, offering a urban lifestyle with all the benefits of suburban life. The precinct overlooks the Braamfontein Spruit, one of Johannesburg’s longest natural greenbelts, while being on the doorstep of South Africa’s financial CBD.
Location
The precinct is only 5 minutes from the Sandton CBD, Africa’s business capital and in close proximity to Rosebank, Hyde Park, Bryanston and Randburg. Providing easy access to William Nicol, Gautrain and BRT bus routes, commuters are easily connected to Sandton Gate from across the city.
Green Lifestyle
Sandton Gate is designed to integrate the way you work with all the other aspects ofyour lifestyle. This mixed-use precinct will combine commercial, residential and retail space, seamlessly connecting to one another and will also facilitate our active lifestyles in a green, lush precinct. Pedestrian walkways will connect each building to the next, giving the precinct a sense of fluidity and energy. Smart streets will allow precinct users to meander through the development to embrace and access all amenities effortlessly.
Nestled on the banks of Johannesburg’s longest flowing spring and implementing green building initiatives, Sandton Gate will embrace its natural surroundings and strive to be fully sustainable. The Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA) has also selected the precinct as a Pilot Project for one of the first green rated precincts in South Africa.
Sandton Gate overlooks the lush green banks of the Braamfontein Spruit, affectionately known as “the Spruit” by locals. The Spruit buzzes with activity on weekends and early mornings with dog walkers, joggers and mountain bikers enjoying the route along the green banks.
This green belt is considered to be one of the longest municipal parks in the world and runs from the south of the city in Braamfontein all the way north to Sunninghill where the spring runs into the Klein Jukskei.
Prescient Plan
Functionality, form and the natural surroundings are all vital elements taken into account when Sandton Gate was conceptualized as a smarter precinct. All structures will adhere to design guidelines set out by the architects, landscape designers and the developer. These guidelines will promote the uniformity of all design aspects of the completed precinct and also enforce the sustainability of a precinct for generations to come.
The Sandton Gate precinct has been meticulously planned and designed with people, nature and movement in mind, integrating all these elements as seamlessly as possible to ensure efficient living within a green, mixed-use precinct. By linking the precinct to major roads and transport networks, commuters will easily connect to the precinct from all corners of the city.
Within the precinct, pedestrians will enjoy the benefit of a network of walkways that create lively and effective movement to all amenities, attractions and services. Natural features will be incorporated throughout the
precinct with the river edge of the Spruit being revitalised to its full potential. The use of innovative technology and efficient design practices will result in minimal environmental impact, whilst embracing the natural heritage of the precinct.
